Juicer Recipes: How to Make Juice Without a Juicer Using a Blender?
Here is an unconventional way to prepare juice – juicing without the juicer, or…
Juicing with a blender!
I just recently received my new Vita-mix (for my birthday – I will not say how old I am, but I sure hope that Vitamix – and the delicious, natural foods that I will prepare with it – will help me look younger longer), and I decided to test it to prepare some juice. Juicing with a blender is certainly a good option that you can use if you don’t have a juicer – or even if you have one. Here are some instructions for you and a video. But first – before anybody asks, let’s briefly explain the difference between a juicer and a blender.
What is the difference between a juicer and a blender?
A juicer separates the liquid from the fiber. A blender is designed to liquefy food by chopping it up at high speeds. It doesn’t separate the juice from the pulp, so the result is a mushy liquid, that in some cases may not taste very good. A blender can be quite useful in tandem with a juicer. For example, bananas contain little juice, so juicing them would be hard, but they taste delicious when blended with many juices, for example pineapple juice, or green vegetable juice.

Making Juice With Vitamix Blender
Yes, you can make JUICE with your BLENDER! And although any blender might do the job, probably the best blender for making juices is Vitamix. That is because Vita Mix is a truly powerful blender that blends the fruits and veggies into super-tiny pieces. The Vita-Mix’s blades pulverize the skins, seeds and peels of whole foods to make them easily digestible. * Just put your fruits and vegetables in the blender, add a little bit of water (this is optional, but will make the blending faster) and turn it on. * Once the ingredients have been blended into a puree, you can drink it as is, or strain the puree with a cheese cloth or a cotton bag to separate the juice from the pulp. * The cleanup is much faster than with traditional juicer. * What is amazing, you may get more juice and less pulp than when using traditional juicer.

Green Juice: Juicer Recipe for Energizing Green Vegetable Juice Cocktail
There are many variations of this green juice recipe that you may want to try – almost every book on the subject of diet and nutrition gives some version of this green cocktail.
Green juices are unbelievably good for you, so good, in fact, that we should all be drinking them daily in the morning, instead of the coffee or milk. They are great immune system boosters.
One fundamental quality of green juice is chlorophyll, which is the product of plants turning light into energy for insects and animals to eat. Without chlorophyll, life as we know it, would not exist.
Some of the many wonderful benefits of chlorophyll include; strong detoxifying properties including that of the liver, as well as removing unfriendly bacteria, parasites and mold.
Chlorophyll can also help improve your blood quality because of its molecular composition, which resembles that of hemoglobin. It helps increase red blood cell count and increases the circulation of oxygen throughout our blood. It also promotes the repair and growth of all tissues in the body.

Juicer Recipes: Benefits of Juicing For Health and Energy
Whenever you are experiencing low energy or any health troubles – make yourself some fresh juice!
A four to eight-ounce glass of raw fruit or vegetable juice not only provides all the healing nutrients that we know about because they have been isolated by the scientists so far, but also the ones we are yet to discover. And, it delivers them in their living, organic, alkaline, whole, complete, balanced form.
If you are feeling insatiably hungry, if you are craving junk food, if you have any physical or emotional complaints, grab your juicer, make some vegetable and fruit juice, and drink it twice daily for amazing results, daily for huge results, three times a week for noticeable results, or even just once a week for improvement!

Vegetable juice has all your minerals, nutrients, building blocks, proteins, and enzymes in a form that is easily absorbed and used by the body instantly! If you search around online you’ll find literally tens of thousands of people have healed themselves of just about every condition by drinking vegetable juices. Drinking lots of fresh raw juices is also one of the fastest ways to lose weight.
It’s an undisputed fact: nothing is more enzyme-rich and nutrient-rich than freshly extracted vegetable juice. It is also the easiest form of nutrition for our body to absorb! Unfortunately, when most people think of vegetable juice, they typically picture canned tomato or V-8 juice. However, vegetable juices can be surprisingly tasty and even addictive – in a positive sense, of course. You can try to experiment with different tastes and combinations, for example, trying to recreate a V8 juicer recipe.
Drink it every morning or afternoon to jump start your energy! It is best to drink it on an empty stomach, though.
The Benefits of Juicing: Vegetable and Fruit Juice Advantage
So why juice the vegetables instead of eating them? What’s the benefit of juicing them?
Juicing can play an important part in your diet by making it easier to consume the recommended five to eight daily (or bettter yet – even more!) servings of fresh fruits and vegetables. A juicer separates the juice from the fiber of the fruits and vegetables making them easier to digest, leaving you with organic water with all the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes from the plants. One large glass of pure, raw, fresh juice per day will help improve the immune system, increase energy, strengthen bones, clear skin and lower the risk of disease. Don’t limit yourself to fruit juices – add some healthy green juicer recipes to your juicing repertoire. For maximum benefits, it is recommended to consume a wide variety of juices from different types of fruits, vegetables and leafy greens.
Of course, fiber is important too, but because it is removed from the juice, your body will not have to waste energy on digestion. The nutrients will go straight into the cells to do their work.
But remember, even if you are juicing, be sure to incorporate juices into a well-balanced, high-fiber whole food diet. Extracted juices should not completely replace whole fruits and vegetables, since their fiber is important for eliminating toxins from the body. The easiest form to consume large quantities of fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens is by preparing delicious green smoothies – make them part of your diet too!

Fresh RAW V8 Juice Recipe
Many people shun away from eating vegetables, especially the children.
It is alarming to know that most chronic illnesses today are caused by improper diet. But simply saying “eat more vegetables” is not enough. One thing that you can do is to make vegetable juice every day or a couple of times a week. Juices are popular among children, and they especially love the sweet taste of fruit juice. However, that is not to say that they cannot develop a taste for more savory combinations.
If you like V8 juice, you are certainly not alone. Unfortunately, the stuff that you buy in the supermarket in cans and plastic bottles is loaded with salt and is certainly not freshly made, which means it has the live enzymes and a lot of other nutrients cooked right out of it.
However, you can make your own version of V8 by experimenting with the following recipe:
Fresh Raw V8 Juice Recipe
Juice all the vegetables using your juicer, and enjoy as is, chilled, or with ice. If you like a more tangy taste, add some chili pepper and/or salt (optional).

3 large tomatoes
3 stalks celery
5 carrots (medium sized)
1 small beet
1/4 head fresh cabbage
1-2 bell pepper (red or green, or both)
2 cups spinach
2-3 kale leaves
1/4 sweet onion
1/2 clove garlic (optional)
This recipe is for raw juice, with all the ingredients in their raw state – with all the live enzymes and nutrients. However, because it’s all-raw, it will taste differently from the “real thing”. The reason being the real V8 is cooked plus has some other added ingredients to make it taste certain way.
If you are looking for a taste more resembling the store-bought recipe, you can optionally substitute half or all of your tomatoes with either stewed tomatoes or tomato sauce for pasta (thanks Evan for the tip!)

Sunshine Mango Juice Cocktail
Mangoes are one of the leading fruit crops of the world. Did you know that more mangoes are consumed on a regular basis throughout the world than apples? Mangoes originated in India, and are now grown in many parts of the tropical locations around the world. In the US they are grown in California, Hawaii and Florida.
Mangoes are great sources of potassium, Vitamin C, carotenes, and lavonoids. They provide a rich assortment of antioxidants and are simply delicious when ripe. How can you know that your mango is ripe? It should yield to pressure, like an avocado, skin should be yellowish-green, and it should emit a deliciously sweet fragnance.
Pineapple is low in calories and makes a fantastic base for fruit drinks. Fresh pineapple juice is rich in bromelain (bromelain helps in a number of health conditions, including indigestion, arthritis, and even cancer), enzymes, vitamin C, and potassium. Oranges are also a rich source of vitamin C and flavonoids.

When you have a chance, try this delicious Sunshine Mango Juicer cocktail.
1 mango, pitted
2 oranges, peeled
1/2 papaya, seeded
1/4 pineapple (with or without skin)
1 banana, peeled (optional)
Juice the mango first, followed by oranges, and papaya. If your juicer will handle it, simply cut up the pineapple, skin and all, into pieces and feet them into the juicer.

Miracles of Carrot Juice
If you are wondering whether or not (or why) you should drink carrot juice, read this article about its miracles.
Author of this guest post about miracles of carrot juice is Devika
Carrots are well known as the universal vegetable for juicing. Carrot juice has been well known as being a miracle juice, or the king of juices. Many people around the world have found that if they include carrot juice in their daily diet, that their overall health improves enormously. A common misconception is that carrot juice would be bitter or too deep in flavor. In reality, when carrots are juiced, they are actually very sweet tasting, and they mix great with other fruit juices, especially apple juice.
Carrot juice blends with practically all other juices. It is a delicious nourishing beverage for all members of the family at all times and it should be an important part of the diet in cases of illness. You can also use carrot juice to lose weight by adding celery while juicing. This will help decrease the sweetness of the carrot juice. Carrot juice is best ingested in the afternoon because of the burst of energy that always follows.
The amount of carotene, (which is converted to vitamin A in the liver), contained in carrots is indicated by the depth of the coloring matter. The large, firm, dark-yellow carrots, therefore, should be selected for juicing, rather than the light-yellow ones, because of their greater carotene content.

Breville Juicer and Carrot Juice
Carrot juice is very high in beta-carotene, and is a cancer fighting agent. Beta carotene is a pigment substance found in plants that can often form into vitamin A. Vitamin A helps to promote growth for visual light and color, prevents drying of the skin and eyes, helps maintain the digestive system and urinary tracts, as well as enhances the fight towards bacterial infection. Vitamin A may also be an aid in helping to prevent certain forms of cancer. If you do not receive enough vitamin A, it may cause symptoms including: night blindness, poor growth, dry skin, and xerophthalmia or dry eye. The vitamin A from freshly juiced carrots is very important for women who are pregnant. They need to build up and maintain the health of their own body, as well as the new developing child. Even after the baby is born, it is still imperative that fresh carrot juice is kept in the daily diet for the mother nursing the child.
Carrot juice helps nursing mothers to enrich their milk. The chances of developing puerperal sepsis is minimized by the regular intake of carrot juice during pregnancy. If it is taken during the last three months of pregnancy, it tends to reduce the hazard of infection after childbirth. It also meets the demands of calcium during pregnancy. One pound of carrot juice is equal to 20 pounds of calcium tablets as far as the active calcium is concerned.
Another vitamin contained in carrot juice is vitamin E. This vitamin appears in three forms, known chemically as alpha, beta, and gamma tocopherol, and commonly known as the vitamin E complex. In animal experimentation, vitamin E has been found to affect reproduction. When foods bearing this vitamin were fed to animals that had failed to reproduce, their sterility was overcome.
Carrots also carry other vitamins such as B, C, D, E, and K, and minerals like calcium, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, and traces of protein. Juicing your carrots will help to promote healthier hair, skin, and nails.
Because of its rich vitamin and mineral content and other valuable nutrients the daily diet should be fortified with the protective and healthful benefits of carrot juice. It can be taken alone, or combined with other fruit and vegetables juices.
Carrot juice is one of the richest sources of vitamin A that can be used in the daily diet. It also ranks high as a source of the other vitamins, especially those of the B complex. Its mineral content is equally rich, and includes calcium, copper, magnesium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, chlorine, sulfur, and iron.
The carrot is recorded as being used in medicine by the early Greeks and has been cherished ever since. Its juice is one of the most delicious and healthful, and alone or in combinations should be in every daily diet providing, as it does, the essential vitamin A, without the saturated fats with which this vitamin is associated in eggs and butter.
