Five Wonder Fruits To Include In Your Diet

Fruits are an important part of any diet. They help promote healthy bodies, healthy weight, reduce dependence on artificial drug and are delicious food choices. Below are five life-changing fruits locally available at your nearest grocery store, market or restaurant.

  • Apples

As the old saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor a way. Apples are rich in antioxidant properties that help detoxify cells. They are also a good source of Vitamin B and C and boosts overall health.

  • Cranberries

You will probably enjoy more of this fruit during the holiday season due to cranberry sauces prepared to be enjoyed with hearty ham and turkey meals. Cranberry should however feature on your diet at least weekly for the many health benefits it contains. Cranberries are noted to help regulate your urinary tract and clear any infections you may have. Cranberry juice can be mixed with apple juice if you feel the taste is too tart.

  • Avocadoes

This colorful fruit does features in many diets especially when you visit most restaurants including a Mexican restaurant that serves it. Avocadoes are rich in Vitamin E which is good for your skin and nails. It is also a source of protein. The protein found in Avocadoes is more easily absorbed by the body than those found in meats. This fruit also has Omega 3 fatty acids that help reduce the risk of heart disease. They can be eaten with a little salt or lime or mixed in with your favorite salad. Some add avocadoes to their sandwiches for extra flavor.

  • Bananas

This tropical fruit is still one of the best sources of potassium which helps your body’s cells to function normally. They also promote healthy bone development, boost metabolism and are a great source of energy. Bananas can be eaten whole, chopped up in your favorite salad as a topping on a delicious ice cream sundae or blended into a delicious fruit smoothie. The versatility of this fruit makes it a top contender for the most important fruit slot.

  • Oranges

Long ago, sailors ate lemons and oranges to prevent their teeth from falling out. This is because Vitamin C found in this fruit promotes healthy gums. Oranges also have fiber which helps prevent or relieve constipation. Oranges are a good source of Calcium and magnesium which are essential for healthy teeth and bones. You are advised to always wash fruit before consumption.
